On March 11, the summit of EU heads of state and government decided to grant Ukraine the candidate status. In the context of this historical fact, we recall an interview with Bohdan Hawrylyshyn recorded after the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. We start this week with great news about the results of the translation of the Declaration of Human Responsibilities. The Foundation’s Ambassador in the United Kingdom, as well as the initiator and author of the project, Victoria Startseva, talks about the purpose, process of translation and further plans to disseminate the Declaration. So far, the document has been translated into 22 world languages. But you can join and increase that number! (more…)

On March 17, 2021, the draft Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On Establishment of the All-Ukrainian Human Responsibility Day” was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for consideration.
In the fall of 2020, the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation launched a campaign to introduce the All-Ukrainian Human Responsibility Day on October 19 annually.

Many people in today’s world demand their own rights, but how many of them think about their own responsibility? Once such thoughts inspired Bohdan Hawrylyshyn to create the Declaration of Human Responsibilities, which was published in 2014. The declaration consists of 15 points – very simple phrases, but deep and wise in their content. Each of the points reveals what we should be responsible for, so as not to wait only for the observance of rights, but to take our own steps.
